Sunday 11/5/2017 The latest statistics of Iran’s Foreign Trade published IRICA reported the statistics of the country’s foreign trade in 7 months.
The latest statistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration demonstrates that Iran’s foreign trade with growth of 3 billion and 59 million dollars (6.2 percent of increase) reached 52 billion and 527 million dollars during the past seven months of the current Iranian year (started on March 21, 2017).
Based on the report of the public relations office of Iran customs, the value of Iran’s non-oil exports with drop of 2.17 percent reached 24 billion and 710 million dollars during the 7 months of the current Iranian year (started on March 21, 2017).
According to this report, during the mentioned period, 27 billion and 817 million dollars of goods were imported into the country which increased by 14.89 percent compared to the figures of the previous year.
Main export items
During the period under consideration, the main export items consisted of gas condensate with value of 4 billion and 115 million dollars, liquefied propane with 809 million dollars, polyethylene film grade with 750 million dollars, other light oils and products except gasoline with 725 million dollars and methanol with 661 million dollars.
Main import items
The report further reveals that during the past 7 months (started on March 21, 2017), rice with value of 1 billion dollars, corn for animals with 882 million dollars, separate parts and segments for passenger car manufacturing with 738 million dollars, motor vehicles with cylinder capacity of 1500-2000cc with 625 million dollars, and soy bean with 536 million dollars formed the main import items.
Main importers
During the period under study, China with allocation of 5 billion and 22 million dollars, Iraq with 4 billion and 13 million dollars, UAE with 3 billion and 471 million dollars, Republic of Korea with 2 billion and 444 million dollars, and Afghanistan with 1 billion and 584 million dollars of Iranian non oil exports ranked first to fifth in this regard.
Main exporters
As for imports, China with 6 billion and 820 million dollars, UAE with 4 billion and 678 million dollars, Turkey with 1 billion and 933 million dollars, Republic of Korea with 1 billion and 844 million dollars and Germany with 1 billion and 540 million dollars allocated the highest share of Iran’s imports to themselves.
