Based on the report of the Public Relations office of Iran customs, in this meeting which will be participated by Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Secretary General of International Road Transportation Union ( IRU) and Japan International Cooperation Agency ( JICA) , the ways for expanding customs cooperation among ECO member states including exchange of electronic data, smuggling and customs fraud data bank, approval of the agreement on mutual administrative assistance in customs matters , the latest situation of joining and implementing the Transit Transport Framework Agreement (TTFA)and the method for holding training courses for customs staff of ECO countries will be discussed.
This meeting will be held nine years after the 6th meeting of Customs Heads of ECO member countries which held in Baku in 2006. Islamic Republic of Iran hosted the 2nd meeting of Customs Heads of ECO member states in 2002.
The 3rd meeting of Sub Committee of ECO Customs experts
The third meeting of Sub Committee of ECO Customs experts will be held on the sidelines of the 7th meeting of Customs Heads of ECO in Tehran as well.
Based on the report, the initiatives, activities and new plans in line of promoting customs cooperation and exchange of electronic data will be among the issues discussed by ECO Customs experts and the results will be approved during the meeting of ECO Customs Heads.
I.R.Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Republic of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan are the members of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
