Importation of goods without name and trade marks due to be banned
Non-oil exports of the country during the 11 mouths of the current Iranian year (Started at March 21 2006) reached 14 billion and 219 million and 700 thousand dollars.
Non-oil exports of the country during the 11 mouths of the current Iranian year (Started at March 21 2006) reached 14 billion and 219 million and 700 thousand dollars, Mr. Mohammad Hashem Rahbari, the president of Iran customs announced.
From the weight point of view, during the above mentioned period, the exports of country stood at 29 million and 657 thousand and 800 tons which demonstrates a growth of 40 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, he further added.
45.2 million dollars of the total exports was in the form of luggage trade and 388.3 million dollars of it was performed through border markets.

The IRICA president in another part of his interview referred to the importation of the country and said, “During the eleven months of the current year more than 37.5 million tons of goods worthy of 36.8 billion dollars have been imported to the country”.
Move over, during the above-mentioned period more than 4.9 million tons of fuel (swap) worthy of 18 thousand and 79 billion rials has been transit transported which shows increase of 34 percent in weight and 66.5 percent in value.
It should be mentioned that during the above mentioned period, more than 4.7 million tons of crude oil worthy of 17 thousand and 184 billion rials has been transit transported in the form of swap with growth of 44.7 percent in weight and 74 percent in value.
*Prevention of importation of goods without name and trade mark
Iran’s customs don’t allow the goods without name of trade mark, manufactured country and source of goods to be imported to the country. This decision has been taken in the line of supporting the consumers’ rights, Mr. Rahbari announced.
These kinds of goods will be passed through red channel in order to be inspected completely, he
added.
For further information, it should be said that in green channel, the goods are due to be released with least inspection. In yellow channel, just the documents of goods are to be inspected and in red channel, both documents and goods are to be searched.
Iran’s customs stresses that all importers should pay attention to this issue and for the purpose of importation, the goods should possess real name, type, brand and source country, otherwise, the goods will not be released.
