Transit:
Increasing the capacity of
international trade exchanges was followed by expansion of different systems
of transportation. In order to facilitate the trans shipment of goods,
countries decided to sign a bilateral or multilateral contracts, and in this
field the dependent organization to United Nation have participated actively
in compilation of international conventions and our country was a was a
member of some of these international conventions and participates actively
and we can mention the most important customs convention which is about
international transportations of goods in road under the “TIR” convention
which the passing of the goods from the contracting countries is done
without customs formalities and the inspecting facilities and used and by
considering the capacity of imported and exported goods by truck, has and
expanded use throughout the customs of the country.
Customs transit is a
customs procedure under which goods are transported under supervision of one
customs office to another customs office.
As due to the most
countries’ customs laws requires that transit goods from Customs
surveillance of the relevant countries for international transportation of
goods and for assurance of related regulations execution under the
supervision of Customs of countries of passing ways. This is regarded as a
Customs procedure and is done named as Customs transit in 2 groups-“internal
transit” and “external transit”.
