Organizational Structure of the IRICA

 

     The Islamic Republic of  Iran Customs Administration consists of a central headquarter and ten branches of supervision . Customs President seves as Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs which is the highest position of Customs Administration.

 

·        The Central headquarters which controls and supervises the ten branches and executive Customs in Tehran, consists of the President’s Office and four Deputy President. The ten supervising branches in different parts of the country control the executive customs. Mehrabad, Shahriyar, West & South, Parcel Post and Exhibition Customs operated under the central headquarters in Tehran.

·        There are 141 executive Customs based in Tehran and towns and frontier localities and some Persian Gulf  Islands and border markets of the country.

·        Central headquarters of Iran Customs consists of some units which play role of guiding and coordinating supervisory branches and executive Customs and as the case may be, notify regulations, instructions and sanctioned laws or regulations and other measures which should be announced for carrying out, or investigate discrepencies and questions asked for information by executive Customs and acknowledge the final conclusion. For this purpose, Scurity Departmet, Coordination Department for Regional Customs Affairs, Public & International Relationd, Investigation Department and Settlement Disputes Commossion accomplich their duties under the supervision of Customs President.

 

     There are four Deputy Presidents consist of some departments and offices as following:

·        Deputy President for Customs Affairs consists of Import Department, Export Department, Valuation and Tariff Department.

·        Deputy President for legal and Supervision Affairs consists of Supervision on transit department, documents verification department, legal and Judical affairs Department.

·        Deputy President for Administrative and Financial consists of  Services and Procurments Department, Administrative Affiars Department, Finacial Affairs Department, and Organization and budget Department.

·        Deputy President for Project and Programming consists of Programming and Improving Customs systems Department, Statistics and Automated Services Department, Customs Training and Research Department, and also National Project of Automated System for Customs Data( ASYCUDA )
